It is something that we do everyday – hunt for food. But instead of looking in boxes and jars, you now have a chance to exercise those gray cells and have great fun while you do it. The Pune Food Hunt, organized by The Western Routes in partnership with TimesCity, as part of the Pune Heritage Festival 2014, is one such event that will keep you on your toes and allow you to play Sherlock Holmes.
The event will club participants into groups of two to four people, and provide them with a set of clues, which will lead them to prominent, typically Puneri food establishments. Fourteen such clues will be provided and teams will have to amp up the guesswork, since they would have only three hours to decipher the clues and race to the eatery and record evidence of their presence there by clicking a picture. A minimum of eight clues will have to be successfully unlocked to be eligible for the winning position and the teams with the maximum number of correct guesswork backed by photographic evidence will be judged to be the winner, followed by the runner-up and the second runner-up.
So, what’s to be won, besides a thrilling time and some much-needed exercise? Trophies, food vouchers from some of the finest restaurants in the city including those at starred hotels, along with boxes of Alphonso mangoes from Desai Bandhu Ambewale and lots of other freebies. To have a shot at all this fun stuff, though, you need to pre-register for the event at www.virasatpune.com/?page_id=3295 . Registrations are open till 6:00 pm, so grab your friends and get to work soon. A pre-event meet is scheduled at the MCCIA office at ICC Towers on Senapati Bapat Road and atleast one member of each team has to be present at the meeting. Hurry away.
