It was an event that saw much excitement, and rightly so, because if the thought of food doesn’t excite someone, then the world is indeed a sad place for them. Therefore, the Pune Food Hunt, was received with much enthusiasm from folks in the city, as participants formed teams to decipher a set of clues and answer questions to race to the winning position at the event. Questions included naming the number of items on the famous Vaishali Restaurant menu and clues led to old Pune favourites like the Shri Krishna misal in Tulsi Baugh, where participants had to taste t misal and identify its ingredients. The teams had amusing, typically Puneri names like Khadad Kahu, Bhu.Ke.Le.Le, Tri-Misal, among others. Team Khadad Khau emerged as the winners, identifying the maximum number of clues and answering most of the questions too. The winners and runners-up were quite a delighted bunch, as they won vouchers from hotels and restaurants like the JW Marriott and Marrakesh, along with boxes of Alphonso mangoes from Desai Bandhu and a free copy of the Times Food Guide, along with t-shirts from TimesCity.
